Work hard, play harder.
The designers believe that play incubates creativity, sparks innovation and helps connect others to the world around us. Play is simply defined as having fun. Stimulation and stress-relief from play is not only essential for kids, but for adults too. With adults spending much of their waking hours at work, it is a daunting task to find time and energy for play.
Benel and 11H have collaboratively designed a range of modular furniture with infinite possibilities to facilitate play at the workplace, while enabling offices to meet the changing dynamics of the work environment. The design of these furniture moves away from the homogeneous look that is typical in offices by creating a homely and cosy feel with the use of soft finishes and atypical 120-degree panel configurations at various heights.
The installation is named "Play at Work" , where a set of sofa with privacy panels, coffee tables and ottomans are arranged to show how the use of colours in furniture can help transform the office into a playground where people can connect and have fun together. The designers have also incorporated some fun ideas and activities to help foster teamwork by bringing people together and connecting minds.
